Two Boys Headed for Trouble

Ok please bear with me as I tell you of what happened to a friend of mine and I. It all happened on what seemed like an ordinary sleepover/camp out. There we were in the blue dusty tent as we sat talking of what we could possibly do to have fun at 1:34 a.m. We decided to take the recently bought pellet guns and head out down the lane of the corn field and rodent hunt for a while. Little did we know we would shoot something more than a rodent! As the two of us "brave" boys only 14 years of age headed down the dust covered lane we spotted a creature about 40 or 50 feet away. Now as excited as we were , we decided to take off in two different directions and corner the creature, shoot it, then drag it back to the farm house near by. As I came around from the right the creature arched it's back and let out a low pitched whine. At first I thought it was a coyote, then seeing it much, much bigger. I looked to my friend Jeremiah, and he nodded fired at it with a quick 12 shot burst, the type of co2 pellet gun with the clip had served me well, I thought. Just then it galloped at my friend and i heard him fire at it also, as he stood there pumping the air gun the creature stopped, looked around, then ran fast as lightning into the field . Until this day neither of us have ever seen it again, nor been able to identify it.

But I promise you this, i'll never camp out without my gun again!
