The Vanished Man

"Ghost Story" is the closest heading for this one, but a more appropriate title would be "Unexplained Phenomenon."

This comes to me via my father, Larry Beavers. Years ago, I'm not sure how long ago exactly, but at least as far back as the 1960s or 70s, a man was walking across a field in Virginia, towards his family and friends in broad daylight. He wasn't obscured by dense woods and hills. He walked in plain view towards the entire group.

Suddenly, without any odd sounds, lights... without ANYTHING to accompany the act... he vanished right before their startled eyes. Simply vanished. Winked out of reality or whatever. He was gone. No holes, no tall grass, nothing whatsoever to explain it.

He was never seen again.
