Be Careful What You Wish For

I'm a 16 year old girl and I was always interested in ghosts. I had spoken with my mother about how cool it would be if I could see them. I usto wish every night that I could see them and that I could have a house that was haunted. She then told me " What if you don't like what you see". After-wards I stop telling myself that I wanted to see a ghost and live in a house of such sort. Here's the weird part....When I first moved in my house almost a year ago, everyone on my street told me my house was haunted. I thought that they were just trying to scare me because I was the new girl, How-ever I soon after realized they weren't lying. I remember sleeping one night when I woke up to hearing somebody running up and down my stairs, I went to the top of my stairs to see what was going on at 4:00am and there was nothing there yet I could still hear the footsteps. Now if that wasn't eneough ,I have a little cross on a stand and every time I stand it up and leave me room it falls over. I can put it right back up but as soon as I walk out of my room it just falls back over. My brother and I were crashed and he woke me up one night because he had came out of his room to go to the bathroom and all the doors upstairs were closed , when he came out of the bathroom all the doors were open. After he got a little freaked out he went back to his room but he re-opened his door about 5 mins later and all the doors were closed again. We all have had our share of ghostly moments in my house, maybe I'll have more, or maybe they'll end. Either way you just never know but be careful what you wish for......
