Did I Really See My Uncle Harry's Ghost?
Speculation on did I really see his Spirit or was it something else?
Please note that the title is a question mark. That is because even at the present I can not be absolutely certain that I really did observe my Uncle Harry's Spirit.
I will hopefully be able to explain what I mean by my great uncertainty. The experience happened over fifteen years ago, yet many aspects of it I can recall as if it happened just recently.
The details I am definite about. It's the cause that is a mystery to me. First of all there was nothing, spooky, frightening, alarming to me. In fact the whole time this, what ever it was was occurring there was a strong sense of deep appreciation, love, peacefulness. My feelings were ones of love and peace.
My Uncle Harry had recently passed to the other side via liver cancer. I remember when he was on this earth I happened to be in downtown, Philadelphia, PA where he worked as as an investment broker for "Hopper, Soliday and Sheridan". He was across the street. I didn't say hello for two reasons. My voice I didn't believe would carry that far and the fact that he was deaf.
He worked his way through the University of Pennsylvania majoring in Electrical Engineering, as a boxer and another fighter punched him in his left ear, destroying his ear drum. How he became an investment broker from majoring in electrical engineering is a rather long story.
Little did I know that about a month later he would succumb to a fatal disease. I thought that at the time I could always say hello another time. Now I know that not to wait. For if you wait you might not get another chance. To use the old but oh so true clich. Strike while the iron is hot.
Well a couple weeks later I saw my him in my bedroom. He was three dimensional. He spoke in his regular voice. I instantly knew it was my relative when I told one of his terribly corny jokes. The kind where the recommended hand position is tightly over your ears.
I do vividly remember that thinking that if it was a dream, than absolutely nothing at all from my bedroom was in any way different. I also thought I might have been in a
hypnologic state. This is a state that is somewhat between a sleep and wake state. I can not rule out this possibility. I do know that what ever it was there is a deep appreciation that I experienced it.
