Footsteps and Shadow People

Both of these occurences happened at my aunt's 200 some year old farmhouse.The first occurence happened when I was around 10. I was sleeping on the top of my cousin's bunk bed. I was having trouble getting to sleep, and it was around midnight, I think. All of the sudden, i heard footsteps coming up the stairs, even though everyone but me was asleep. They started at the bottom of the stairs, and stopped when they reached the top of the stairs. By this time I was scared half to death, and hiding under the covers. I told my aunt in the morning, but she just laughed it off. The second occurence happened just last summer, when I was 13 (i'm 14 now, almost 15). I was sleeping in my other cousin's room, and she has a set of steps that lead downstairs to the hallway, with a door at the bottom. This, I believe, was at around 2:30 AM. I had woken up, and was getting a sip of water. I didn't hear the door open or anything, but i saw a dark figure coming up the steps. I didn't think much of it, because it was 2:30 in the morning and I was half asleep. I went back to sleep, but in the morning, realized what had happened. I've heard of these things called shadow people. I think that might have been what it was. If anyonme can give me information, please e-mail me.
