Friendly Ghost Visits?
From: Story type: Ghost Location: Utah Source: Form Submission
I have had many ghostly experiences as of late. Probably about 6 in the last two years. I do not believe it is our home that is haunted. We are the second owners of our home and it is only 6 years old.
I have, however, had many people who were close to me die recently, and since none of the "hauntings" really scared me, I feel as if they are coming to say thier goodbye's. The first experience, ( the one I will share with you) was odd. About 6 months after a very close friend commited suicide, I started getting the feeling that someone was always watching me. One night, while I was in bed reading, the sound of humming came through my bedroom window. I didnt pay any attention because we have a very large group of teenagers in our neighborhood, and I passed it off as loud music in the distance. After 5 minutes, my curiosity grew, and i got out of bed. there were no teenagers outside.
Just as I turned to get back into bed, I realized that the humming was coming from my treadmill, which is located right next to my bed on the other side! I turned it off, wondering how in the world it could have come on by itself! I got back into bed, thought a little more, and dismissed it as a power surge or something. Well, the second I picked my book back up...the treadmill turned itself on again!( mind you; the person who turns it on must flip the switch and turn the key!) I wasnt scared, but I knew it was more than just a surge! I turned off my lamp, closed my eyes, and almost instantly felt someone wrap thier hand around my wrist. At first I thought it was my husband, but soon realized (when he started snoring,) that he was on the other side of the bed, facing away from me! I jerked my eyes open, and I saw a white haze in front of me that was slowly disappearing. It looked something like a puff of smoke from a cigarette. In seconds it was gone. I was not scared though, and almost felt a sense of comfort.....like a loved one was trying to give me comfort from the other side.
