Ghost Standing on Stairs

On the night that this happened my family and I had just moved into a new house and since i didn't want to share a room with my sister I decided to use the basement as my room instead. I was laying there in my room trying to go to sleep but since it was a new house I was really having trouble sleeping. I started to here noises they kinda freaked me out but I just thought they were the sound of my mom and dad walking around up stairs. After a few minites the sounds started to get weird and I thought I heard what sounded like someone walking down the steps but I couldn't see anyone there and the door leading down to my room was closed so I knew it couldn't of been a person so I was really starting to get scared I just closed my eyes and hoped that in a minite I would be asleep. Then my Mom opened the door and told me that she was hearing things too this made me feel better cuz I knew that I wasn't the only one. When she left I continued to just lay there and try to sleep While i was doing that I felt pressure on my hand like someone was sqeezing it. I tried to get whatever it was off my hand but the pressure only got worse. After that I looked over to the stairs and saw what looked like a ghost. I'm not sure if it really was a ghost or if it was just my imagination. but whatever it was I couldn't see it's face. It was blurry, It appeared to be overweight, and It was wearing like knee lengh blue shorts. If it was a ghost I proabably hadn't been dead for more than a few years cuz the clothes weren't old-fashioned, they looked modern. To this day I sleep with my radio on cuz I don't want any sounds or noises to be creepin me out.
