Girl Looking At Me

I am 32 years old and have had two occurrences in my life which I can't explain and have bothered me my whole life. They happened within weeks of each other in our georgia home when I was about 9 years old. I had a bedroom which was connected to my older sister's bedroom by a bathroom. When going to bed I would ask my sister to keep her door to the bathroom open because I was scared. One night I woke up and saw the figure of a tall girl with long hair silhouetted against the bathroom window. I called out my sisters name several times and got no answer. I got a huge adrenaline rush and in a panic turned on the light switch next to my bed. There was nobody in the bathroom, and upon checking my sister I saw that she was sound asleep. The next occurrence happened similarly when I again woke up, (I now closed my bathroom door) and saw half of the same looking figure in my large picture window in my bedroom. (visible were the shoulder, arm, and half of a head). The other half was lost in the dark background of the adjacent wall. I stared at this for a longer time this time, trying to decide if my sleepy eyes were fooling me or if there were some inanimate object which could mimic what I thought I was seeing. The figure was unmoving and looked as if it were looking at me. When I turned the light on there was again nothing there, nor was there anything at all which could be confused with what I saw. Were these the result of a childs imagination? maybe. I am now a dedicated skeptic about mystical and religious issues but these are things which remain unexplainable to me today.
