Grandpa's Reminder
From: () Story type: Ghost Location: My grandmother's house Source: Form Submission
It was late afternoon in mid-summer when my sister and I were at our grandmother's house. I was still in the living room on the phone when my sister went outside to talk to our mom. After I got off the phone I thought that she was still in the house and I thought that she was hiding and trying to scare me. I walked down the hallway toward our grandma's bedroom and the guest bedroom. I peered into the guest bedroom to see if she was there. As I began to turn around I heard shuffling footsteps right behind me. I turned around and no one was there. There was no one even in the house. I walked back into the dining room and my dad walked in and I asked him where my sister was. He told me that she had been outside the whole time. I went outside and told her what had happened. We then recalled our grandfather (who was always playing tricks and pranks on us) wore slippers that scuffed along the floor also. The problem was that he had died in this house one year before. We figured that it was just another one of his harmless tricks to remind us of him constantly. We love you too, grandpa!
