His Corner

I've had many strange experiences, some explainable and some not. This particular experience happened in '98 while i was staying the weekend at my girlfriends parents' house. After coming back from a friends place, we sat in the lounge and talked till about 1:30am. I slept on the couch because of her parents wishes.

Anyway, it was about 2am and I was just about to nod off, when straight in front of me I clearly saw a man standing with his head looking down. He wore a torn jersey and was standing in the corner of the dinning room behind the table. By now I was wide awake from the adrenaline rushing though me, my heart beats were so loud it was all I could hear. This man continued to just stand there and not move, just holding his head down. As the adrenaline released it's grip on me, and I was about to flee the room he raised his head and disappeared.

With his vanishing, i knew he wasn't a physical form. The night was spent wide-eyed and alert.

The following morning, i spoke of this experience to my girlfriend and her mother. Her mother was interested and asked a lot of questions, such as what he looked like, where he stood and so on. After telling her about his appearance and behavior, she said to me his name is Linton, who was a dear friend of hers that always wore the same torn jersey, who stood in the same corner every time preferring to stand and hardly never raising his head. She then told me that he had hung himself in '93.

I am grateful for my experience, regardless of the fear, thanks for reading my story. R.I.P Linton
