Hungry and Thirsty Ghost

In my life, I have come across a few ghosts. Nothing close to the house I am living in now though, but I will save those for another day.

The story I would like to tell you today comes from when I was only 5 or 6 years old. Myself, my mother and my brother were living in the top half of an old house. It was a two bedroom suite. Being that I was the oldest child, I was able to have a bedroom to myself. It was beautiful. Very small and cozy. It had a little balcony that I used to love going out on.

During the day, I would go into my room and play for hours, however at night, I would avoid it at all costs. I told my mom that I didn't like sleeping there because the ghost would always bother me while I tried to sleep. Of course, she thought that I merely had an over-active imagination. The only way I could get this ghost to leave me alone was if I put a glass of water and a few saltines on my night stand for it. Every morning half the water had been drunk and the saltines had been eaten, and it would leave me alone. However, on the nights that my mother would take these away, to prove that it was just my imagination, (She always waited until after I was asleep to do this.) the ghost would poke and pinch me, shake the bed and knock on the night stand. I don't know what it wanted, but I was relieved when my mother finally decided to move again. Feel free to contact me if you want to comment on this, or hear any of my other encounters.
