Lady in Blue

This story is one that has come down to me from my grandfather and pertains to an event that happened to his younger brother about sixty years ago in the Ottawa Valley. We have an old newspaper clipping which reports the story.

My grandfather's brother was about six when he got lost in the woods and all the neighbours were searching the woods for some sign of him. He was not found until the next morning.

He was found in near a hollow log where he had taken shelter for the night. He said a lady in blue had told him to go in there. On the hollow log there were fresh scratches from bear claws.
