This incident occurred back in 1989. My then wife had heard of a Provincial Park located about 45 miles east of Sarnia where you could find fossils. We decided to take our two young sons over there for the day. Once we arrived at the park we found that in order to get to the gorge where the fossils were located you had to descend a huge flight of stairs. We started walking down them and when we got half way down we noticed a young boy, maybe 8-10 walking past us with a black and white dog. He was wearing a yellow and brown striped shirt which reminded me of the ones I wore in the 60's, and jeans. He stopped and looked at me and asked if we were going to look for fossils. I told him yes. He said "Follow me, I know where they are" We then continued to the bottom of the gorge where he proceeded to lead us into a huge river gorge. The area was strewn with huge boulders and a shallow trickling river. The only way out was back up the stairs. He waved to us then continued walking just ahead of us about 15 yards. I turned to my wife and told her what a nice kid he was and turned back around. He and the dog were GONE. No way he could have gotten past us and unless he was spiderman he couldn't have scaled the sheer rock sides. My oldest son said that the boy and dog just faded away. We both swallowed hard and continued finding the nicest fossils I ever saw. If nothing else I thank the lad for his "otherworldly help"
