My Fiance's Grandmother

From: Story type: Ghost Location: My apartment Source: Form Submission

In 1989 when I was 40 I was engaged to get married. Over the course of time I was to meet my future wife's Grandmother, who lived in a nursing home. She had alzhimer's, and wasn't doing very well. The night before I was to meet her I was laying in bed, and noticed standing beside the bed was an old woman, somewhat transparent. I'd seen ghosts before, and knew she was a ghost, but it was someone I didn't recognize. She looked at me for a while, and I looked at her, then she vanished. I lived alone, so I know there wasn't anyone else with me. The next day I picked up my fience and her mother and went to the nursing home. We got there, I in my wheelchair, and my future wife put me in the visitor's room, then they wheeled im my fiance's grandmother, and it was the ghost that appeared to me the night before. My Fiance and her mother left the room and went to talk with the nursing home staff. She could barely move, but every time she looked at me she would say in her very weak voice, "Help," and with her toes which just touched the floor the would scoot the chair a few inches closed to the window, then she would look at me again, and repeat it. This happened several times until my fiance and her mother came back to the room and we went home. When we got home my Fiance told me her Grandmother had not had a good night before we came, and the staff was very concerned about her. Thanks for reading my experience, I have many more, as well as theories.
