Somethings in the Roof

Im an australian and like all australians if you dont see it you dont believe it (hence the aussie phrase I BALL-EVE VT When I C-IT). Now i was a born again christian and believed in a higher world than our own. But to believe such things is to believe in the opposite also. ( GOOD-EVIL ) Well we lived in a typical aussie home single story very open home. Our roof was just that only accessible from with in the house through a small manhole type board covered thingy. We had lived in the house for a long time and besides us no one else had lived there. One night we heard thumping in the roof. So like aussies we all just stared at the ceiling making grunting sounds thinking it was cats and possums and things. The following night during home and away (a popular TV show) we heard the same noises. And we love our TV shows out here my mother instinctly yelled at me to go look I was reluctant as friends told me stories of giant spiders in the roofs. So after a brief argument i was shoved through the hole after collecting myself i started to crawl around just peering. At first it looked like a red glow. I thought to myself that there was a hole in the roof and whatever it was was coming from some kind of light thingy in the house but as I stared it turned as if two red eyes. ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING. Now i dont know about your roofs but in australia they only have crawling space no standing space. So i scampered back to the manhole which seemed like a 100metres away I turned and the eyes were bright oval shaped and closer. Panicking I started speaking in my native language (Papua New Guinean which my mum tought me) swearing my head off to the fullest it wasnt helping but it made me feel better i threw myself forward down the hole to the carpeted floor 4 metres away colliding with my sister the chair she was standing on and the dog whom were all mad at me until they looked up it passed right by and yelled 'No!. So we agreed nailed the manhole shut and moved house in a week with a warning on the manhole No!. its as simple as that. You wanna break the rules find out the hard way! Be my guest. May i also say that I am to this day haunted by red eyes it was a very frightening experience.
