Strange Noises

My parents close friends, we call to them as aunt and uncle-that's how close we are, own a cabin at June Lake. We would go there a lot to go snow skiing, a big group of us would go. The cabin was very old, and just recently, my uncle had the massive three story cabin remodeled. It was our first trip up there after the cabin had been remodeled, we were all excited to see it, and it's new found luxuries. Me, my sister, and my cousins were sleeping downstairs. See, the way it was layed out, the middle floor was the living room area and kitchen with some bedrooms & a pool table, and the top floor was a loft, and below-where we were was another room with sleeping arrangements, a mud room, and a bathroom and jacuzzi. It must have been roughly around 2:00 in the morning. We had all fallen asleep watching tv I guess. But, on vacation trips like that, our parents would all stay up pretty late. Well, eventually, my cousin and my sister woke up. They heard noises upstairs, noises of the billiard balls from the pool table cracking together, people walking around and mingling-a dull murmur of people chatting or talking. My sister and cousin weren't scared or anything, there had been many times were we just would wake up and go find our parents to see if they were still awake. So, they decided to go upstairs and see them. The stairs came up and opened into the kitchen. When they got up there though, they were shocked and scared to find that the place was empty and dark, and that nobody was awake accept them. They ran back downstairs. I to had a very similar experience, because they came immediately woke me up, and after we listened keenly, I went upstairs to investigate myself, and the same thing happened to me. I'm not claiming that this was for SURE a ghost experience, I don't even know the history of the cabin, or what happened there. I just know that we will always remember it in that way whenever we return to the cabin, and to us it will always be kind of scary.
