The Glass

Usually, our house is very quiet. Other times I hear things. Sometimes it's the floor creaking as if someone is walking above me when I know for a fact no one is up there, or at least no one alive. Other times, when there's nothing in the kitchen, no glasses, dishes, PEOPLE, you'll hear the distinct sound of a glass setting down on the counter. Why this happens I don't know. Also, sometimes, I hear the toilet seat clunk down when it already is down and there's no one even NEAR the bathroom. If anyone knows what this could be, please tell me.
