NDE Article= Bike Accident

My story is not a full-fledged NDE, but something close to it. When I was seventeen years old, the summer before I left for college, I was riding my bike through a busy intersection and was hit by a car. At the time there was a group of off duty firefighters sitting on the hill that overlooked the intersection, and they later remarked that they were all certain that I was killed in this accident. Upon impact, I flew up over the car, then landed on the hood of the car, then flew up again and landed on the pavement. Needless to say, my bike was a crumpled mess. When I was up in the air, it was as though time stopped. Words cannot explain. There was a type of static buzzing all around me- a kind of light-filled energy. I felt absolutely no fear- only a peace like I have never felt before. This moment, which was not really a moment, seemed to last forever... and yet, it was outside of time. I also experienced my spirit. It was part of the static energy that surrounded me. My mind understood that no matter what happened to my body, my spirit was safe. I fractured my vertebrae in the accident and was severely bruised and swollen from my waist down. Remarkably, no head injuries were sustained.
