The Saint Jude Necklace

On December the 12th about three years ago(1998), School had just gotten cancled because the roads had been very icy and there had been many accidents that morning and my mother had to go to work. Before she could go to work though she had to drop my sister and I off at my Grandmothers house, She didn't exactly trust a 12 year old to watch an 8 year old.

Well that morning when she was putting on her make-up she noticed an old St. Jude necklace in her make-up holder. She had told me to put it on, so I did. After I put it on I went to my room and prayed. I prayed that St. Jude would watch over my mother on her way to work and all of us on our way to my Grandmothers. Well just as I finished praying my mother came to my door and told me that we were leaving.

That morning I got front seat because my little sis was still asleep. Well we left and my mom was complaing because she had to go to work. About half-way there my mom saw a few cars in the distance going all over and finally spinning off the road. Before she could tell me to hold on to something, we were going all over the road. As we started spinning I saw a stop sign heading right for the passenger side of the car. As soon as I saw that, I grabbed ahold of my necklace and closed my eyes waiting for impact.

Well there was no "impact", When we came to a complete stop and I opened my eyes, amazed that we didn't hit the sign. We didn't hit anything at all. After calming my sister down I looked around and about two feet away from my mothers door was the sign. It was still standing there untouched. It's like the sign went straight through the car.

I don't know any explination, other than St. Jude was watching over me that faithfull morning. We got to my Grandma's house a little scared but otherwise, alright.
