It was Just before Christmas in 1987, and I was living in Bethlehem, Israel. I shared a small flat with my fiance and young son. The time of year was extremely cold with icy winds and snow constantly blowing through the town. This one particular night, we had all decided to go to bed early, for the only heating we had was a small gas burner. Our flat had only one bedroom, so my fiance and I slept in the bedroom, whilst my young son, slept on a sofa bed in the family room.

Sometime during the night, I found myself standing about mid way up a very large white stoned stair case. A realization came to me, that if I continued to walk further up the stair case, that there would be no turning back. I stood for a moment pondering my situation, when thoughts came into my mind, of the decision I had to make. If I went up, lives would be lost, and a new life would never get the chance to be born. I realized my responsibilites and began to walk back down the steps.

The next think I became aware of, was a audible voice saying Rosalyn get up and go to the bathroom. I replied No ! to the voice as I did not want to go to the bathroom. The voice became louder and more insistant. Finally on the third call, I said ok ! Climbing out of bed in the pitch darkness, I stumbled for the bedroom door, but was unable to open it as my body began to shake and spasm.

As I hit the ground my fiance woke up and leapt out of bed in a mad panic and ran to the bedroom door and then to the front door opening it up, screaming at the top of his lungs. I on the other hand was still convulsing on the floor amd saying Please God, dont let me be sick !

As the fresh air began to filter in, I stopped convulsing and instead went into fits of laughter as I heard all the commotion outside as neighbors came rushing into the flat. They too were dropping like flies. When I had managed to regain control of myself. I checked on my young son, who was blissfully unaware and unafected by what I suspected to be a gas leak.

We were all slowly being gassed to death. I tried to explain to my Arab neighbors that it was nothing more than a gas leak, but by this time they were all firmly convinced a demon was in the room, making people fall down. It took a fair bit of convincing on my part, that some one must have either left the gas stove on, or the gas burner had a leak. But to this day, they still think it was an evil force bent on destroying us.

Anyway Thank you God ! for saving our lives and helping me to make the right decision for life. As I now have 3 wonderful children and a lovely husband. And a hard working guadian angel.
