I Was Out of My Body

I really do not know what type of story this is, or what happened to me, but I am hoping someone will have an answer to this occurrence in my life.

This happened to me 18 years ago, but I can still remember it like it was yesterday.

It was after the birth of my first child, and I was returned to the recovery room.

My husband and my mother and father left, the hospital, and I was very relaxed, and relieved that the birth process was over, and then the next thing I knew, I was in my parents car, I was sitting in the back seat right behind the passenger seat , my father was driving, my mother was in the passenger seat, and my husband was sitting behind my father, and I did not know what was happening, because I was trying to let them know I was there, but they could not hear me, or see me, and I even tried to touch my husband, but my hand kept passing right through him.

At this point I was really getting frustrated because they could not see me or hear me, but I was there, it was at this point I looked down at myself. I had on a hospital gown, but I was transparent. I then began to talk to my self, it was rather comical actually, because I thought I had died, and I kept saying out loud, " I knew it, I just knew I was going to die" ( for some reason during my whole pregnancy I had a fear that I would die during childbirth) so I though I died, well at that point my husband said, we have to go back to the hospital, I left my money in the scrubs I had on while in the delivery room, my father then turned the car around off the interstate at a truck stop, and then the next thing I knew I opened my eyes and my husband was walking in recovery room.

I was actually very calm when I told him what just happen, why they came back, were they turned the car around at, and also what song was playing on the radio at the time. He just stared at me, and said how could you know all this?? This was the first, and the last time this has ever happened to me, and I hope someone could let me know what I experienced, and what could have possibly caused it. Because now when I think about this it makes me very nervous, and I think it is because I just don't understand what happened.
