I Swear I Never Saw It Before!

i usually know when i have obe's, but there was this one time that i had a strange experience, but i did not remember actually leaving my body, but my sensations and perceptions and my state of consciousness were all of my usual obe-type.

what had happened was for a long time i had been trying to contact my oldest, best guy friend. i had not spoken to him in months, and he kept moving around, so for awhile i did not know where to reach him. he was (and still is) living in the state of washington, and i am in new york. i have never been to washington, or even seen pictures or maps of the state where he lives.

well, i was getting frustrated trying to track him down at one point, and so i thought i'd give up for a while, maybe he would contact me. so one night i go to sleep, and i am suddenly at this street corner of an unfamiliar city, and i see a city bus pull up and away, i see the edge of a park-like area with a fence. i look across the street and see this convenience store, and somehow i know i am in my friend's hometown, and i have to buy a map of the area so i can find out where he lives. not that i even really know where to begin, i just do this!

so i go buy a map, and look at it, and i scan over it, and what i remember most is where i am, and where he supposedly is. the streets 7th ave and 4th st stick out, and the grid of streets between them, and also a main highway or interstate or some main kind of street curving at the bottom of the area.

so, then i wake up, and jot down what i can remember of the map as well as i can in my sleepy state, and just for the hell of it, i look up his city and state on mapquest, and my drawn map matches the location of the 7th ave and 4th streets in relation to each other, as well as the highway at the bottom of the map!

i felt maybe this was either an obe of some sort, or else some kind of remote viewing in my sleep? because i know i have never seen this map before then, and i surely had no idea where my friend would have been at the time! finally, i get a hold of him, and tell him this story, and he says that 4th st was where one of his best friends lived, and he spent a lot of time at his house.

has anyone everin their life had something like that happen? i normally do not have any psychic experiences, other than basic hunches every now and then, most certainly not that obvious or clear!
