Out of Body, Really?

I had never really thought of my experiences as out of body, but I do know that they aren't very common. This website has inspired me to share my experiences.
I have had numerous dreams (were they really dreams?) where I have almost super powers for example, I can fly, I know that I am dreaming because I tell myself in the dream that it has to be a dream, and my senses are extremely sharp. My sense of touch is very heightened, and a few times I haven't been able to see but I could feel my way around.
A good example is one dream when I couldn't see, but I felt myself fall. I ended up on the floor of the living room downstairs below my bedroom, touching the carpet and the recliner. I recognized the touch so much that I knew for sure that I was in the living room. The next thing I knew, I was in my bed, absolutely exhausted, and I couldn't move for a few seconds. I looked at the clock to see how late it was, and realized that I had only been in bed a few minutes. I have had a number of "dreams" like this and woken up only to find that I had been asleep merely seconds when it felt like hours. I know this because I will hear a dog barking in the dream, and when I wake up, or the phone ring, etc. These usually happen right when I fall asleep, and I always fly or fall, and I can always always always control my actions.
Once I found myself in front of the mirror in the bathroom and decided to fly back to bed. So I did!
At least I know I am not the only one that has experienced this kind of thing, because it used to really scare me.
Is it lucid dreaming?
