When Fate Catches up...

After being sick with the flu for four days in a row, I began to frequently displace my self mentaly. At first, I must admit, I though everything I saw while being displaced was just an illusion. But do illusions tell anyone specific details on objects in different locations?
I had awoken that morning at around 3:00 am to find that nothing seemed as it should. Everything would have a slight vibration and when touched would stop its vibration and stay as inanimate as before. I peered out of the window that faces southeast and neighboring houses. Out side of my chambers the eerie glow of the early sun and the late moon intermingled into a sort of strange blue color. I remember now slipping passed the windows and hovered above the cold street. I lifted higher and higher until I could see above each rooftop and straight into the sun in one extreme and the moon on the other. They both comforted me with their glow and, in a way, kept me a float.
Once I had reached a respectable distance, were not even the surrounding green mountains could be seen, I felt my body moving forward, away from the sun and the moon. At about this time I felt that I would find something incredible at the end of my journey, but this feeling was only a flutter of a feeling and did not make its presence strong enough to heed. I was going at a steady pace until I had reached water, which was not a long way out. Once passed land every thing flew by so quickly that the Atlantic under my feet looked like a solid blue piece of ice. As I kept accelerating the feeling that had occurred earlier was growing. I was now coming closer to land. My body did not slow down as it did earlier when I was on land. I wondered were I was flying over and made the assumption that I was over South America. I could see mountains in their entire splendor passing me by in all of their glory. As some mountains were taller than my stationary altitude, I flew through them. When I did happen to go through them nothing could be seen. Now I was going even faster and the moon could not be seen at all. I reached the end of the country and found dotted icebergs populating the water below me. I began to descend on to a large piece of ice. When speed dropped considerably I was able to stand on the piece of ice and not drift away. I stood there waiting for something, something I did not know. After about what seemed like 3 minutes a group of penguins swam up to the piece of ice. Just then a tugging sensation at the back of my body began to startle me.
I looked behind me and noticed off in the distance that everything was becoming black. Something told me that that void was the thing I had traveled for. I flew into it with a sense of bravery that was rewarded with my body plummeting down into total nothingness. There I saw everything that had troubled me, every memory that ever plagued my mind that I could never release before. Just as I thought I was about to go insane, a voice spoke to me. It was my voice telling me to solve my problem and to move on with my life or I would be ensnared in this void for eternity. As I can remember my other said, let the past fly by you as your home will in the future and let your future embrace you as the sky does, has, and will always do. Just then I yelled so loud that the void began to shatter round me letting the sunlight pour in. I bellowed the solutions to some of my problems or the reality of most things that bothered me. When the void seemed to have disappeared, I could tell my body was descending back to where I had started. Once home was reached, I was about to enter my chambers through the windows when I told myself to stop, for there was something left to do.
I could now see my other self-but with slight differences. My other self looked older by at least a couple of years. I also was much more healthy looking. So healthy in fact, that I was glowing as most healthy peoples skin does. My other told me that the future had many inviting, interesting things in store. I would hold a special place in many peoples hearts. But just as the future held many great things for me, It also held a grim side were I was the destroyer of our world. He ended our conversation with a bit of knowledge that I was not allowed to share with the world until I lay dying. He made me promise not to tell a soul that wanted to hear what I had to say near death. He said that it would only go in vain for when I died someone else would receive my knowledge only living to uphold its wishes. At that my other disappeared, as did I back into my body with a slight thud.
I awoke at 9:37 am to find my twin brother holding me repeating the phrase
wake up! WAKE UP PLEASE! When he looked down to view my status, he held me
tighter asking me if I was all right. I simply rose off my divan, stood up and
said, I am better than I ever was with a beaming smile staring into the
sunlight that had comforted me now, has, and will always do.
