Astral animals
« on: August 28, 2010, 07:56:40 am »
What are your experiences with animals in the astral world?

I wish I could have pets but I live in an apartment where they're banned  :( So when I came across videos of cute cats and rabbits on YouTube yesterday, I enjoyed them a lot. I think this enjoyment had something to  do with the strange experience I had last night.

I was listening to the radio while lying in bed when I realised I was paralysed. I wanted to shift the blanket but I couldn't move a muscle.  After a minute of trying, I finally rearranged the blanket. Then, still  listening to the radio program, I suddenly heard small four-legged  animal(s) rushing about the room. Their presence confused and scared me.  What was going on? I tried to investigate but found that, once more, I  was paralysed. Terrified, I heard one of the animals start running  toward my bed. The animal scampered like a bunny (or a cat?), jumped up on the bed,  ran past me, and jumped off again. I tried to scream but I only  groaned. Then, suddenly able to move, I heard nothing but the radio  show. After reassuring myself that there were no animals in the  apartment, I listened to the rest of the show without experiencing more  weirdness.

Could it be a visit from a pet you used to have?

I didn't find anything in a quick search about animals or pets in the OOBE section.

Maybe someone else will weigh in with some insight.

mslemon basically voiced my only insight.

Uh uh, Kaiya, callin' me out...alright then I won't be lazy, lol.

I third the question of have you ever had any pets anywhere? Unless a previous tennant was hiding animals, which is possible, it seems unlikely they're past occupants of the apartment. In that case bunnies would make more sense. What floor are you on and is there any green space around the building that bunnies could live in? It's possible the animals came from the outside, and in most cases cats are much more likely b/c they're more adaptable as far as terrain goes. Are there any housing places nearby where people could have pets? Considering they scared you, again I think cats are more likely than the rabbits to behave that way, although some bunnies can be aggressive. Could be cats chasing rabbits, lol. It's possible it was spirit cats/rabbits chasing away bad spirits for you.

What sort of radio show was it? Did you notice any more static than usual when this happened?

My personal experiences with spirit animals mostly involve working with them to chase off bad spirits. I accumulate them around my house for that reason, if nothing more than to alert me when something is off. Spiders, snakes, cats, owls, hawks, wolves, and intelligent dogs seem to be some of the most active spirit animals. Predators definitely appear to be the most common to run into. Maybe they like to practice their hunting skills on evil spirits while they sleep to keep them sharp? Or maybe consuming other creatures really DOES give you greater spiritual power, lol? We need to find some cannibals to ask how that works out for them since the consumption of other creatures in general doesn't seem to work for humans. Maybe there's one lurking in our midst?

I had a very similar experience about 6 months ago.  Although I the experience was scary (since I've never been through anything like that before), I didn't feel that the energy of the phantom animal was bad...more curious than anything.  It never happened again so I wasn't able to do anymore personal 'research' on the matter - lol.  Keep us posted and let us know if you experience anything similar again.

Thanks for your replies, everyone. I did have cats and rabbits as pets (when I lived on the other side of the world!). Also, there are wild rabbits near where I now live, and once a neighbor's cat walked right into my apartment and made itself at home :)

Star Specter, I live on the third floor, but there are stairs outside. Also, the radio show was a talk show about politics. I don't remember any static. I think that animals must dream too and that they could dream about hunting. And if humans can explore the astral world, then why can't animals? So I think it's possible that an animal might hunt in the astral world while its physical body is sleeping.

a_little_scared, these experiences are pretty rare for me too (I have them about once a year). I always panic because of the paralysis; it makes me feel vulnerable. In hindsight, I'd say the phantom animals weren't threatening me directly. It didn't feel like I was the focus of their attention.

This is an old thread, but one which interests me. Visits from animals from the astral are actually very common; usually, these are from former pets or other animals with continuing attachments to the physical world. There is nothing to fear. Such visits often go unnoticed because many humans are not attuned sufficiently to be able to sense that they are being visited.

Hi Re Astral Animals,
Robert Bruce - the OBE Explorer talks about encountering Astral Wild Life while jouneying out of body.Only happens now and then. Looks like you were in a pre-obe state ie the paralysis state and the next state would have been the OBE exit stage. He has said Astral Wild Life in nothing to worry about and one runs into it occasionally.

Welcome to the forum! Yes, I'm a fan of Robert Bruce, too. However, this thread is mostly about pets and their ability to visit their former "caretakers" still on the physical. The love between a pet and its "caretaker" can be incredibly strong.
