Re the site, you are spot on about them talking about REM sleep etc.

It begs the question whether even one of these scientists have had an experience like those they are studying. For, as we all know, these experiences are so personal and so hard to put into words at the best of times, that it boggles the mind how they can continue to try & box in what so many of us attest to.

What is their point. Are they just out to prove it's all just 'dreaming' and a trick of our brains?

If even one of them could say "it's not that simple because I've experienced it" they'd probably be kicked off the study because they couldn't be objective.

I think science is not well suited to explaining spiritual matters. Imagine if any study of the sort came out saying 'well we studied all these people & we believe that we can actually leave our bodies, travel to worlds & dimensions unknown' etc etc .... Why do they bother? Never the twain shall meet.
Whatever you have a passion for, something you wish to do, this is your spirit guiding you, in your personal journey  that will fulfill your purpose in this lifetime. So follow your wishes, your dreams - it's life whispering, nudging, pulling you forward, on toward  your soul's fulfillment.

Ok so i have never had an OBE before, and i want one. how can i do it? and how do i get out of my body? i have gotten to wear everything is shaking but that's it.

Meditation and yoga help, especially with relaxing the body.  If you are attempting to "project" out of a tensed body, it will be extremely difficult.

If meditation and yoga helped to assist in having an out of body experience, then half the Japanese population would be left floating around in parks throughout Japan.
It’s not as simple as you might think; if it was then we would have a lot more knowledge about the phenomena of Out of body experiences.
Stress, depression and near death encounters are more related to out of body experiences than meditation and yoga...

Apparently I’ve had depression all of my life, part of the package that comes with aspergers, along with insomnia, it’s the insomnia brought on by depression that is linked to Out of Body Experiences.
If you have insomnia, you have a likelier chance your conscience will reach the state of mind able to obtain an O.B.E.

I have read where many people with Insomnia also suffer with sleep paralyzes, which is linked directly to Out of Body experiences.
Scientist have given us an answer to what Sleep paralyzes is, unfortunately scientist will always have an answer to everything, even if it’s the wrong one, as we so often find out later on in time when someone else comes along and proves them wrong.
After all, you hear the word scientist; you immediately believe you are listening to an expert who knows what they are talking about, some yes, but not all of them, scientist don’t have a clue to how the mind really works. Sleep walking, Bi-polar, Tourette syndrome, Autism, are just a handful of mind conditions they can’t work out or know what causes them.

Sleep paralyzes happens because an individual has entered a state of mind where they are fully aware ‘’Conscious’’ that they can’t move.
The spirit which vibrates in our body has slowed down and is trying to get out, or release itself, because there is a feeling of helplessness, the individual usually panics, plus fear of the unknown takes place as well, so the O.B.E often doesn’t occur.
Sleep paralyzes happens because the spirit is trying to be free of the body, it’s not a bad thing, it doesn’t lead to death, on the contrary, it teaches us about other dimensions, it teaches us that we have a spirit, but this all depends on who you want to listen to. Scientist with their, we have an answer to everything policy, or someone who lives with aspergers, a condition linked to being a genius, plus I have been having O.B.E most of my life various ways.
(A bold statement I know, I don’t mean to be arrogant) it’s a typical social trait of aspergers, weird I know.

So, depression leads to insomnia, insomnia can leads to sleep paralyzes, sleep paralyzes, a gateway for Out of Body Experiences...

rudy's right. near death, depression, sickness, starvation, even getting drunk.
They call CAN help, but not necessarily will.
Anything that breaks out continuity of our daily lives, jars our bodies, and most importantly, keeps us from trying to reason everything out to our selves and instead helps us to just shut our head up and stop thinking.
The secret is inner silence.
Which is why near death experiences are so often so weird. Because we stop telling our selves what's happening, and instead we just act, so we stop explaining the world to ourselves and see it in a light that's alittle closer to reality. And a little further from logic.
Reason and Understanding are extremely limited faculties. Human beings are capable of so much more beyond those two points. So don't put too much weight in explaining. Instead, just practice. (for more then 10 minutes at a time)
Let it be known, that in this predatorial universe, I will not be Prey.

It's good to hear from you again Dean, I hope you are well.

We all have soooo much to learn when it comes to the mind, forget about what the brain can do, that's old news.
We need to understand more about consciousness, that's where all the fun and games begin.

If I said that we have a collective conscience (The Machine) and our spirit (The Ghost) had a separate conscience all together, would this make sense to anyone, or do we all except it to be a fact that we have just one conscience.

Try and think of any mental conditions or disorders where it seems like the victim or
Patient has two characters or more taking place.
There are many, and nobody has any answers to what is going on. Take Tourette syndrome for example, it’s clear to see the individual victim has a struggle with controlling what is on their mind, he or she are aware of themselves and their thoughts, yet they can’t control themselves from expressing what is on their mind, and so someone or something makes them blurt out all sorts of profound swearing or verbal abuse towards others, they can’t help it, it’s like having a fight with yourself out loud and everybody can hear you.
You see someone you don’t like, instead of just thinking it, you say it out loud.
‘’The mind is more complex than what meets the eye’’ this is the problem with Out of body experiences and other conditions or phenomena to do with the mind, with only theory and no physical proof, then people find it hard to believe.
But we will get there; you have never seen an atom, but you except that they exist. We will also learn to accept other things we can’t perceive through our five physical senses, such as the existence of the spirit.
The sooner the better I say...
