looking for trouble
« on: July 30, 2011, 04:01:00 am »
I was telling my husband last night that i would like to learn more about contacting my spirit guide ( i think he thinks i am a nutter!! )

he told me that i must be extremely careful when trying to find out these things, as it can "open up a whole can of worms", so i asked him what he ment, and he said that when i heard my spirit guide, how did i know it was him, so i said "he told me"...(my spirit guide's direct words were "I am Your Spirit guide") and his response was how do you know it is not a demon messing with your head, and trying to come across as my spirit guide, so i told him, that when i heard him, i felt safe and protected, and all warm and Fuzzy (if i can put it that way) and my Husband said that anything/bad spirits can do that to try and manipulate you. Even though I am still adamant that it was my spirit guide, is there any truth in what he is saying? how will one tell the difference, between a good spirit and a bad spirit, if a bad spirit comes across as a good spirit, but is not really!

Everything in the universe is energy. IMO the words "Good" and "Bad" carry the same weight as "Heads" or "Tails". If you felt safe, then it's probably right for you, but not necessarily right for someone else. Your husband seems to be coming from a religious angle. There are no demons. Only Energy, Whatever has more energy wins.
(here's a hint, you win)
The very fact that we're organic life gives us an advantage in the fact that it takes much more energy to manipulate our physical bodies. Inorganic life doesn't have a physical body to worry about, and, even though they may have a vaster conciousness, and we're babies in comparison, we shine brighter.
If you're aiming to convince your husband of something he doesn't believe in, you're fighting a losing battle, and your energy can be spent in better ways.

i have been asking for months for my Spiritguide to show himself to me in a dream (that way i wouldnt be too freaked out)..and nothing happened besides my ariel and peterpan dream (lol) and it has been MONTHS and MONTHS, and then one morning i was "sleeping" if one could call it sleeping, as it felt like i was just on the verge of waking up (where one starts to stir almost..if i can put it like that!) and out of the blue, i heard this gaelic (irish/scottish) accent tell me straight out " I am your spirit guide" i felt so warm, and safe, and just wanted to snuggle down further into my blanket, that was the effect i got. But i have not had any visions of him, i dont know his name, someone did a reading for me, the other day, and they said that one of my spirit guide's name is Edmund. So i dont know how accurate she is, but it is better than nothing.
I did put a post up, about it earlier (see Input please spirit guide) but that was before this other girl did a reading for me. But i am 100% certain it was my spirit guide, but yes all i have to go on is a voice.

a voice is more then enough. you don't need any other confirmation, and in my opinion, you're lucky to have gotten what you did. The only world that can be described with the descriptions we know, is our world. Anything outside of it (like your guide) works completely independent of every law that we have laid out for our known 'universe'.
So instead of repeatedly asking him for more and more actions that you would interpret as proof. Meet him half way, and practice feeling him however you can. If you're walking, and you see a leaf fall, right as a bird chirped, and it caught your attention, it's because your body knows something that your mind doesn't, not necessary your guide, this world is huge and mysterious, and it could have been any of a million significant or insignificant things, practice feeling out other worlds on their terms, and you'll be speechless at everything you learn, because there's really no way to describe it. Don't occupy yourself with knowing and understanding. People have been knowing and understanding for thousands of years, and it's only gotten us so far. Learn to feel with all of your senses together, and you'll discover another.
Explaining what you experience to someone else isn't going to work. It's going to exhaust you, fill you with their doubts, and water down your conviction to explore this new facet of your life. Don't even mention it to your husband, trust me on this, it won't help him understand, and will hinder your understanding. If you insist tho, encourage him to try to understand his own being, on his own terms.
Learn to listen to yourself.
Let it be known, that in this predatorial universe, I will not be Prey.

The best way to deal with anyone who thinks they can assist you with finding out who your spirit guide is, is to not give them any clues at all, it’s the clues they pick up on, for example telling your friend your spirit guide was a man, it’s easy to pull Edward out of a bag, much more often than not, they turn out to be fake.
I don’t believe in fortune tellers and mediums, why, because if they really could do the things they say they can do, they would be so over whelmed by their experiences, they would be doing their services for free, the experiences if true have such a powerful affect on the individual, that the last thing on your mind is making money.
I have never heard of anyone other than Nostradamus who can suddenly plug into the supernatural world at will.
Don’t think too much about what you want to happen when you lay in bed at night, spirits know everything, it’s when you least expect it, your guide will appear, thinking about it doesn’t help.
Acceptance is a big plus, along with not being afraid, you are half way there...
