is it my spirit guide?

Hi everyone I've just joined this is my first post I'm looking for some answers.
I'm 24 and I've seen,heard, and felt spirits since I was around 13 as far as I can remember.
Recently ive been having a new experience unlike any I've had before, it happens when I'm laying in bed (which is strange in its self as I don't allow any spirit in my room anymore its my place) with my eyes closed trying to fall asleep I see I guess in my mind a face it doesn't really have features but its old is all I can say to describe it, I don't feel threatened at all. The voice is male but he speaks a language I don't understand or even know what it is so I have no idea what he's trying to say.
He usually comes to me but I can also get him to come to me.
 Is this a spirit guide? And if so how can I find out the language he speaks so I can talk to him?
I have one theory and that is it could be something related to the fact my dads real dad (he was adopted) was greek?
Any help would be great thank you :-)
