How would scientists explain this....

+1 to dreamprophet from me on this as well.  If anything, this forum is helping me to allow belief in both the science and the spiritual.

It's clear that those of us who have had these experiences believe our experiences & those that haven't had the benefit of it are left to ponder.

What I relish is when you see & hear accounts of people who are scientifically trained & who never believed, then have these experiences.

They still can't explain them but they sure do believe.

"The proof of the pudding is in the eating"

People, look at our history, science is forever catching up on itself. Science is human beings trying to explain, lock down, our magical world.

I'm not sure that they will ever be able to prove these aspects of the human / spuritual experience. Perhaps it was meant to be that way, unexplainable by science, perhaps it's meant to surpass science, perhaps it's part of the realm of faith? Just saying......maybe.

PS watched one account of a guy who had the hellish NDE. he had an interesting comment he said, something along the lines of
'I know I will not go there again when I die because I'm choosing to live a different type of life now' hmmmmm? Wonder what that means.

I think that Science trying to explain what is going on is fair game.  If there was no "checks & balances" system, we might just very well go back into the dark ages, where the imaginations of some effed up bored people become doctrine and logic is completely thrown out the window.

Sometimes it seems like less fun when folks try to invade the NDE's, but I personally would like to know if there is a simple chemical reaction going on.  You're right, I have never experienced an NDE and therefore I cannot possibly imagine what anyone else has gone through.  After I heard a NDE story from a guy who used to do A LOT of drugs, I wanted to research NDE stories in general and get a feel for what people experience.  I'm sorry, but drugs leave me very skeptical about a person's own experience on what's waiting on the other side of Rainbow Bridge.  Perhaps most of us who haven't had a first hand experience are supposed to be the one's who take the mixed bag of answers and sort them out in balance.

I am a big advocate of balance.  Questioning current science is what a true scientist SHOULD be doing.  Having an imagination, an open mind, being willing to listen to people who have had amazing experiences is, in my opinion, a wise thing to do.

Maybe some scientists are out there trying to disprove (or test with tangible tools) everything spiritual, but it isn't entirely fair to lump all scientists or science appreciating people into "stubborn soul-empty party poopers".  We just want to tread cautiously into new ways of thinking.
